Welcome to the House of Le Grand, a cultivated refuge for those who still cherish the quiet majesty of the written word. This is the literary home of Sir Philippe Le Grand, known to many as Sir Phil, who gathers his essays, commentaries, and imaginative works with the same care one might extend when welcoming guests into a gracious salon.
The House stands at the meeting point of tradition and modernity, offering thoughtful reflections on culture, history, psychology, philosophy, travel, and the enduring fascination of aviation. It is a place where language is allowed its full resonance and where ideas unfold with elegance rather than haste, guided by Sir Phil’s belief, inspired by Toni Morrison, that the unwritten book one longs to read must be created.
Here, readers are invited to linger in a realm shaped by curiosity and refinement, to rediscover the pleasure of deliberate prose, and to accompany Sir Phil on journeys of thought and imagination that honour the dignity and splendour the written word deserves.
Welcome to the House of Le Grand
Within its walls, the House of Le Grand offers a constellation of Reading Rooms curated by Sir Philippe Le Grand.
Here one finds Side Notes by Sir Phil, a chamber of reflections and self-contained musings; Dispatches, where he observes the ever-shifting skies of the aviation world;
On Sir Phil’s Shelf, devoted to books and the thoughts they inspire; and the great drawing room where Sir Phil withdraws to weave the longform tapestry of The Atlantean Chronicles.
Yet the House shelters more than his own work. Within Le Grand’s Guest Rooms, selected partners and visiting creators are invited to inhabit a chamber, sometimes briefly and sometimes for a sustained season. Their presence ebbs and flows like guests in a gracious estate, and among the current long-term residents are The Inari Papers, offering reflections from the fields of systems psychodynamics and Jungian coaching.
Are you and your work interested in taking up residence in one of the Guest Rooms? Contact the House of Le Grand to enquire about availability and to explore how such a stay might be arranged.
